Week One:

How many times have we tried to no avail? How many times have we pressed and pressed only to fail? That gets discouraging and many times we convince ourselves that it's always going to be this way. But it's not.

Let me ask. Who do you turn to in hard times? Or what have you been turning to?

Mark 7:7-11 says, "Keep on asking, and you will be given what you ask for. Keep on looking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks finds. And the door is opened to everyone who knocks."

Don't be afraid or ashamed to ask God for help. He wants to help you and can. "He personally carried away our sins in his own body on the cross so we can be dead to sin and live for what is right. You have been healed by his wounds!" (1 Peter 2:24) Don't be ashamed to ask family and friends for help either. You have nothing to be ashamed of.

There is no one who is perfect. You are no different than anyone else. We are here to help each other. And God is there to help us. Keep pressing on and keep striving for a life free of eating struggles.

Weekly challenge.... Try doing something this week for yourself, that you like and you enjoy. Like taking a bubble bath, going for a walk in the woods, taking time to read your favorite story or watch your favorite movie. Why? Because you are worth it and deserve it.

I John 3:1 "See how very much our Heavenly father loves us, for he allows us to be called his children, and we really are!!

Please note: This is not a counseling site, but rather, we are an online support group for those struggling with anorexia, bulimia and self injury. If you have any of these disorders or know someone who does, please encourage them to receive medical attention and counseling.
