Beautiful

You are beautiful You can't see it.
You are beautiful
Even through your tears.
Yeah, your life may look ugly
And the scars run so deep;
But your beauty is more real
And that is what I see.

I know you can not view
Yourself the way you are.
I know that it hurts way too much
And everything looks so dark.
The pain seems unbearable
How can this be beauty?
But your true heart shows through the hurt
And beauty is what I see.

The wounds, the scars, the memories
They are all so real to you.
And even though they are constantly there
They don't define what is true.
You are gorgeous.
That's what I see.
A hurting woman who is still ALIVE-----
To me, THAT defines beauty.

Lovingly,
Regina
